Innovative Health Tech at HLTH24: A Day of Optimism and Vision.Today at the HLTH24 conference in Amsterdam, I witnessed the future of healthcare through the lens of three remarkable startups presented by Google: **Eql.ai**, **Clare&me**, and **Tucuvi**.@Eql.ai is revolutionizing the way we manage musculoskeletal health with their virtual partner, Phio. Their mission is to empower individuals by providing the tools and access needed to take control of their healthcare need.clare&me offers a unique AI for self-therapy, providing a 24/7 mental health ally accessible via calls, WhatsApp, and SMS. This Berlin-based startup is on a mission to digitize mental health support and make it more accessible.Tucuvi is redefining patient follow-up with their empathic AI, automating medical phone conversations to augment healthcare professional capacities and improve patient outcomes. The young and brilliant entrepreneurs behind these companies delivered their messages effectively, instilling a sense of confidence that the future is indeed in good hands. The overall atmosphere at the conference was charged with optimism, a much-needed sentiment in these challenging times.Additionally, a panel discussion on the medical use of psychedelics for treatment-resistant depression and PTSD hinted at an exciting direction for therapies in difficult cases, adding to the day's hopeful outlook. To cap off the day, I sat in a discussion on the topic of longevity and downloaded the Humanity Inc app, which, to my delight, confirmed that my recent efforts in nutrition and physical activity have paid off, making me "younger than my age."In short, it was a day filled with optimism from every angle.#HLTH24 #HealthTech #Innovation #StartupShowcase

Fully Paralyzed Woman ‘Spoke’ for the First Time! This weekend, an incredible story unfolded in both print and digital media, showcasing a remarkable leap in #GenerativeAI for #socialimpact.💡 The Innovation: D-ID, in collaboration with the IsrALS Association, has developed a groundbreaking technology that empowers ALS patients. They’ve created a platform allowing patients to generate a virtual avatar that mimics their own image. This avatar can interact, converse, and express - giving a voice to those who had lost theirs.🌟 The Impact: This isn’t just a technological breakthrough; it’s a human one. By enabling ALS patients to communicate in a more ‘human’ way, this project has opened new avenues for interaction with family and friends. It’s a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for those affected by this challenging condition.🤝 The Collaboration: The success of this project highlights the power of collaboration - between tech companies, non-profit organizations, and the courage of the patients themselves. It’s a shining example of how technology, when aligned with empathy and creativity, can lead to life-changing innovations.🙌 Kudos to the Team: As someone passionate about technology’s potential for positive social change, I am in awe of this achievement. Congratulations to the team at D-ID and IsrALS Association for their dedication and hard work. Your project is an inspiration for all of us striving to make a difference through technology.Let’s celebrate this milestone and continue supporting innovations that change lives for the better!#TechForGood #ALS #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #EmpathyInAction

🌟 It’s #FeedbackFridayFeedback is the oil that keeps the Lusio engine running smoothly – whether it’s cheers of approval or constructive ideas for improvement, we thrive on it all. 🛠️This gem comes from our wonderful partners at EM Therapy & Support , and it’s a shining example of how feedback help us fine-tune our tech to better serve our clients. Thanks to Exercise Physiologist Alex for this:‘I have had only positive experiences with LusioMATE. The ability to upload personal images of various movements has been a wonderful addition for my clients and created a more familiar environment for them. My only piece of feedback is a written instruction or ‘objective’ of each game would be helpful. There have been times where we have just had to start playing to work out what the goal of the game is.’Hearing how LusioMATE has positively impacted client sessions is incredibly motivating, and the suggestion about adding game objectives is already on our radar! We’re working on integrating clearer guidance directly within the LusioMATE app because making sure clients get the most out of each game isn’t just an improvement; it’s a priority. 🎯📱Thanks, EMTherapy, for helping us steer in the right direction. Keep that feedback coming – it’s essential, it’s valued, and it drives us to do better every day! #assistivetech #physicaltherapy #ndisproviderBenjamin Turner Alexandra Walker-Roberts Erin CouttsRocky Bay Therapy Focus Wise OT Solutions Allied X Cerebral Palsy Alliance Allied Health Services Australia Optimum Movement

Healthcare's Innovation Disconnect: Are We Building Spaceships While Patients Wait in Corridors? 🏥Healthcare desperately needs a Star Trek moment 🚀. We're bombarded with headlines about AI diagnostics and gene editing, but meanwhile, basic patient needs often feel like an afterthought. Don't get me wrong, innovation is crucial, but what good is a rocket to Mars if patients can't even get a comfortable chair in the waiting room? Here's the reality: Patient-centricity isn't some futuristic concept. It's about meeting patients where they are, both literally and figuratively. So, how do we REALLY prioritize patients?1️⃣Ditch the One-Size-Fits-All Mentality:Precision medicine is fantastic, but what aboutprecision communication?Tailoring interactions to patient preferences – some love telemedicine, others crave face-to-face – shows genuine care.2️⃣Break Down the Silos:Patients shouldn't be navigating a labyrinth of specialists.Foster collaboration:Invest in secure communication platforms so everyone's on the same page, from cardiologists to therapists.3️⃣Empower, Don't Overwhelm:Wearable data is great, but patients drowning in numbers lose sight of the bigger picture.Focus on education and co-creation of wellness goals.Actionable Steps for Healthcare Mavericks (No Suits Required)🧑🏻⚕️👩🏼⚕️👨🏽⚕️:✨Ditch the Surveys, Start Conversations:Instead of generic satisfaction surveys, host focus groups or casual chats. Listen to real concerns, not just pre-selected options.✨Empower Your Staff:Train them inactive listeningandpatient-centered communication. Invest in their skills, not just technology.✨Think Outside the Building:Partner with community organizations.Make healthcare accessible beyond the hospital walls. What´s your take on the discrepancy between buzzwords and reality?#HealthcareRevolution #PatientFirst #BreakTheSilos #HealthcareHeroes #healthcareinnovation #patientcentricity
