Save your money and make this Starbucks-inspired iced brown sugar shaken espresso at home! No syrups or espresso machine required.
While it may be hot outside, the fall season is right around the corner! To cool down and get into the autumn mood, I love making this Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. It’s the perfect mix of cinnamon, brown sugar, and creamy coffee.

Ingredients for this Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso:
- Brown Sugar
- Water
- Vanilla Extract
- Cinnamon
- Blonde Espresso Shots (or Cold Brew Coffee)
- Oat Milk
- Ice,to serve – One of the most frequent questions I get is how I make my pellet ice. I don’t have any fancy machines, I just use this ice tray I got on Amazon. It comes with 4 ice trays, a scoop, and a convenient box to store the ice. I love using this ice when I’m making a mocktail or iced latte.

How to make brown sugar syrup:
You don’t need fancy ingredients or kitchen tools to make brown sugar syrup at home! Mix 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of water in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute and the sugar should be fully dissolved. It will slightly thicken as it cools down.
This will give you enough syrup for one shaken espresso. You can make a bigger batch using a 1:1 ratio and store it in an air-tight jar in the fridge.

Love this recipe! Tastes just like what you get at the large coffee shop that we all know. Only it’s better because you can control how much sweetness goes in your drink and you don’t have to pay through the roof for it!

I love to make this drink and this recipe is great with how quick to make the brown sugar syrup. I have another trick- use real maple syrup. It’s more expensive and changes the taste, but it’s very delicious and super quick to make!
